The first three handle types are about the same price. Laminates are particularly beautiful and quite unusual, but they require extra time to produce and are somewhat more expensive.

Handles wrapped in leather lacing are not normally made from exotic wood, since the lacing covers the wood. The other types of handles use exotic woods. Select your wood from the following list. If you are ordering a laminated handle, select each type to be used; otherwise, select just one type.

Species marked with an asterisk are more expensive than the others. I can make your flogger from almost any kind of wood if I can obtain it, but bear in mind that some types of exotic wood are quite expensive and difficult to locate. Please inquire for details.

Hides are available in various colors and weights, but availability depends on my suppliers' stock. If you're looking for a specific species or color not listed here, please email me and I'll let you know what is available and what it will cost.

The number of falls is limited by the diameter of the base of the handle. More falls, wider falls, or thicker hide require a larger base to set the falls into. If the falls need a large base, the base of the handle may be wider then the top ball or flair at the hanger end, with a thinner shaft between those two points. Unless you specify otherwise, I install as many falls as will fit while still maintaining what I feel are proper aesthetics for the flogger. I can expand the base diameter as necessary if you want more falls or wider ones. If you’re not working with one of my standard handle shapes and need help in configuring the falls, email me.

I make a number of unusual types of floggers not included in this form, such as matched (handed) pairs. Those need to be weighed and balanced to be matched correctly and come at additional cost. I'll try to make whatever you dream up if it's at all possible and estimate its cost for you. For instance, you might want your flogger to have a handle shape of your own design. For retailers, I can produce a handle with an exclusive signature profile. The possibilities are endless.
